CONGENIAL Connecting Generations
The third project meeting of the Grundtvig Learning Partnership Project“ CONGENIAL: Connecting Generations “ ( 2012-1-IT2-GRU06-37059-5) held in Bucharest/ Romania from 17th till the 21th April 2013.

Main activities run by the Association, beside the project:
The Christian University Dimitrie Cantemir (CUDC) is a university of success in the field of private and public initiative, even since its founding in 1990. University management is linked to national and European standards of higher education, has 15 faculties and 18 specializations in several universities in Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Timisoara. The University is a organiser of trans-national and trans-border workshops, seminars or conferences and social activities through Educational Sciences Faculty (ESF) and FORUM. The university is has a social program for learners who are disadvantaged from a geographical and/or social point of view, learners with specific needs, learners at risk of social exclusion, learners with disabilities, migrants, refugees consisting in almost 300 social bourses, over 300 partial financial contribution. For older learners the Department of Education and ESF – Forum has the social activities, humanitarian and in service training courses and also leisure programs (see www.ucdc.ro). CUDC – ESF – FORUM will participate in effective dissemination and exploitation activities and dissemination of project result by taking full advantage of our extensive links and networks at local, regional, national and European level etc which includes local community organisations, public sector and private agencies working in social inclusion and training. Goals:
• To create in our local communities an enhancing environment conducive to intergenerational communication and mutual understanding that will lead to a better quality of life for all, through non formal and informal adult education activities carried out by the partner organisations
• To produce and transfer knowledge, methods and good practice for senior citizen education and intergenerational learning through mobilities and a shared on line platform at European level which also includes Turkey.

Specific objective:
• To develop innovative methods to foster communication and create learning opportunities between older and younger generations based on exchanging good practices of the participants organisations.

Selected good practice to be systematized (concisely describe only the selected one):
Creating an intergenerational education core as a practice of European Paidea environment around some of kindergartens and schools, where our students work, in the sense of upbringing of a children by transferring cultures and cultural facts from generations to generations, for a better quality of life for all and common intergenerational processed values trough learning by doing and TIC.
